Melrose Market Studios, located beneath the bustling activity of Capitol Hill and nestled in an old 1919-1926 automobile row building, is a beautifully restored venue with unlimited possibilities to create your next celebration or event. Our 5,000 square foot industrial chic space was designed with flexibility as the primary goal.
The materials contained within this Room have already endured nearly a century. Therefore, we focus on creating an atmosphere of substance over fleeting trends. Rather than using trend-driven aesthetics to drive your decor choices – create your own space by allowing the beauty of the architecture speak for itself.
Your primary Coordinator will be the same individual from your initial viewing through to your last departure. There are no handoffs; no lost information; no “i’ll go ask my colleague.” only one point of coordination who understands your needs equally as well as you do.
We treat each and every event – regardless if it includes 40 people or 250 attendees – with equal standards of care. How you welcome your guests upon arrival establishes the tone for all subsequent activities.
Melrose Market Studios sits within a group of structures first built in the 1920s as part of the first auto row in Seattle. Nearly a century later, that same brick, timber, and concrete has been converted into one of Seattle’s premier events spaces -- a place where craftsmanship, history, and hospitality subtly intersect.

The buildings which contain Melrose Market were originally erected from 1919 through 1926 as showroom and garage facilities for Seattle’s burgeoning automotive industry. Its triangle-shaped lot at melrose and Pine was at the center of capitol hill’s transition from street car suburbs to cultural corridors.
In 2010, an award-winning adaptive reuse project restored these structures to their former glory as the Melrose Market – a carefully selected environment for chefs, butchers, florists and local business owners. one year later, the subterranean space beneath the market was custom-designed as an event venue by a team of professional caterers and event planners. Currently, this 5,000-sqft area is used for wedding receptions, product launches and celebrations behind an existing backdrop of exposed red brick, large Douglas fir timbers and polished concrete – elements preserved from its original construction rather than created after the fact.
